The FIRST STEP of ID-IRI MDR, IPC, AS study “Profiles of Multidrug-Resistant Organisms Among Patients with Bacteremia in Intensive Care Units: An International ID-IRI Survey” is accepted for publication in the European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases.

            In principal, this study is a prospective, one-month, cross-sectional survey for blood-borne pathogens in 57 ICUs from 24 countries, and it analyzes:

1. The trends in antibiotic resistance and profiles of MDR organisms among patients with bacteremia in ICUs (The first step).
2. Infection control and prevention, and antibiotic stewardship activities in a large geographical area (The second step).

The SECOND PAPER of the survey analyzing IPC, AS was submitted to another journal FYI.
